New Details Released for "The Secret Life of Pets: Off the Leash" Ride coming to Universal Studios Hollywood in Spring 2020

Universal Studios Hollywood has released new details for their upcoming "The Secret Life of Pets: Off the Leash" dark ride. Voice talent from the original cast will be reprising their roles in the attraction, which includes: Patton Oswalt as Max, Kevin Hart as Snowball, Eric Stonestreet as Duke, Jenny Slate as Gidget, Tiffany Haddish as Daisy, Lake Bell as Chloe, Dana Carvey as Pops, Steve Coogan as Ozone, Chris Renaud as Norman, Hannibal Buress as Buddy, Bobby Moynihan as Mel, Jessica DiCicco as Princess and Tara Strong as Pickles.

The attraction's storyline will be centered around an adoption day, and guests riding the attraction will play the role of stray puppies. Guests will ride in vehicles resembling cardboard boxes during their journey to the Pet Adoption event and subsequent new homes.

The attraction will utilize live, dimensional, and animated characters coupled with high-definition media and projection mapping technology to take guests on their journey through the streets of New York City. Advanced facial recognition and gesture tracking will allow the ride to assign guests a unique stray puppy character. This aspect allows guests to experience a unique journey on subsequent rides.

The surrounding attraction area will be rethemed to "Pets Place" and will feature new storefront facades themed to a busy New York City street. The park is targeting a Spring 2020 opening date for this new attraction.
